HNBR and Neoprene

Neoprene has the same good oil resistance and high physical and mechanical properties as HNBR Materials, but HNBR has obvious advantages when used to manufacture synchronous belts for rubber parts in dynamic stress situations, especially when used at higher temperatures and for longer continuous use. Under dynamic stress, after long time high temperature aging, HNBR Materials still has high physical and mechanical properties, small dynamic permanent deformation, small elongation and hardness change, while under the same conditions, neoprene is often destroyed and lost. For example, in the application of automotive synchronous belt products, automotive synchronous belt originally used a better overall performance of neoprene, but with the continuous development of the automotive industry, automotive engine speed and power continue to improve, the synchronous belt product heat resistance requirements of more than 120 ℃, this condition neoprene synchronous belt is difficult to meet the requirements. HNBR Materials has better heat resistance and can improve the service life of synchronous belt under high temperature and dynamic conditions, so the rubber for synchronous belt is gradually developed from neoprene to HNBR.
