Does the Use of Color Masterbatch Increase the Cost of the Product?

This is true in most cases. However, in some cases, coloring with masterbatches is more economical than coloring with color powders, because the colorist can achieve the coloring effect of higher-priced pigments by combining several lower-priced pigments.

The following two phenomena should also be considered:

(1) In many cases, the pigments chosen by the plastic product manufacturers when matching colors with color powders are not the most economical, and the waste of manpower and materials caused by repeated trials when matching colors due to insufficient familiarity with pigments is very common. This problem does not exist when using color masterbatch.

(2) The products colored by masterbatch and the products colored by color powder are of different grades, and their selling price is higher, and the higher selling price is often higher than the increased cost of using masterbatch, so masterbatch can create "profit" instead. From this perspective, in some cases, coloring with masterbatch is more "economical" than coloring with color powder.
