Currently, there are three main types of catalysts for the production of LLDPE Raw Material Granule: titanium-based, chromium-based and metallocene catalysts.

1	Mantle system catalyst	The commercialization of UCTA A and UCTAJ catalysts from Univation is more successful. The SCG series catalysts produced by Shanghai Lide Catalyst Co., Ltd. were successfully tested in Indonesia and Malaysia respectively in 2003. The activity and hydrogen tunability of the catalysts have exceeded those of similar foreign catalysts, and the quality of the products obtained is also better than that of foreign countries, marking the success of the domestic gas phase polyethylene catalysts out of China.
2	Chromium-based catalysts	The main catalysts are chromium oxide catalysts and organochromium catalysts, which are produced by impregnating chromium-containing compounds with silica gel or silica-alumina gel carriers. The more successful ones for commercialization are Univation's UCTA B and UCTAG catalysts. The BCW series catalyst developed by Sinopec North Chemical Institute is one of the few catalysts that can be industrialized, with stable performance and good product quality in production, and can replace imported catalysts.
3	Metallocene catalysts	It is a single active center catalyst with high catalytic activity, excellent copolymerization performance, narrow relative molecular mass distribution and good ability to regulate the relative molecular mass size and distribution. After years of research, Sinopec North Chemical Institute successfully developed APE series metallocene catalysts, which were successfully applied in Qilu Petrochemical. CNPC Lanzhou Chemical Institute has also developed loaded metallocene catalysts after continuous exploration, which are successfully applied in Lanzhou Petrochemical, and the performance of the products is comparable to the imported ones.
