What Process is Used to Produce Color Masterbatches?

The process is to add the raw materials (including color carrier resin, polyethylene wax, pigment and additives) into the high-speed mixer according to the formula, and then stir them, and pre-break the coarse pigment particles through the joint action of high-speed operation and flow blocking baffle, and pre-wet with the relatively low melting point of polyethylene wax fusion, while the wetting is evenly adhered to the resin particles which are plasticized on the surface due to the frictional warming of high-speed stirring.

After completing the above process, the mixture is cooled down by a low-speed low-temperature mixer to release the mutual adhesion between the particles of the mixture; then the mixture is added to the co-directional parallel twin-screw extruder through the steps of melting and plasticizing, mixing, grinding, etc., and then extruded and pelletized by the die to become masterbatch products.
