Modified PPS Plastic

Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) has the advantages of high mechanical strength, high temperature resistance, high flame retardancy, chemical resistance; and has a high degree of crystallinity, flame retardant, good thermal stability, high mechanical strength, excellent electrical properties. However, the unmodified PPS is brittle, poor toughness, low impact strength, so we modify PPS to improve its performance to meet the needs of different products in different industries.

Enhanced modification (glass fiber / carbon fiber)

Enhancement effect: can significantly improve the material's rigidity, strength, hardness, heat resistance, wear resistance, electrical properties. Such as the most common PPS plus 40% glass fiber reinforced, giving the PPS high fluidity, high wear resistance, high strength, high CTI, low dielectric properties.

Toughening modification

PPS plastic rigidity is very good, toughness in general, can be added by adding toughened or super-tough materials, increase the toughness and impact properties of the material.

Toughening agent: in order to reduce the brittleness of the plastic after hardening, improve its impact strength and elongation and add an additive to the resin.

Filling modification

By adding glass fiber + mineral filler to PPS plastic, can improve the rigidity, dimensional stability, hardness, heat resistance and other properties of PPS materials. Such as PPS added 65% glass mineral filler (P201M65), with low warpage, dimensional stability, high temperature resistance, high strength and other characteristics, has been successfully applied to automotive thermostats, oil pumps, electronic water pump housing and other components.

The role of plastic filler: improve plastic processing performance, improve physical and chemical properties, increase volume, reduce costs.

Flame retardant modification

PPS resin itself has very good flame retardant, without adding any flame retardant can reach UL94-V0 level, and the amount of smoke in the combustion process is very low.
